Apple Silicon Support
Previously, Apple Silicon Macs were supported through the Rosetta 2 emulation layer, which slowed down performance. Now, we offer a MacOS silicon build with improved performance.
Simatest Camera & ISP Simulator
Simatest enables the simulation of camera systems including image sensor noise & signal processing. This enables convenient exploration of how ISP parameters impact Image quality metrics. See Example, Brochure & Documentation.
Includes Image Sensor Noise Model analysis. The model estimates temporal and fixed pattern noise from a single Bayer RAW image for color/tone noise analysis, using a three-component model (dark, shot, and fixed pattern noise).
User Interface Improvements
- Open With Imatest: Open files directly from Windows Explorer and MacOS Finder into Imatest Master.
- New direct links to the Imatest Store for most analysis targets to easily view Imatest's chart offerings.
- Improved Console Panel layout with docking and full-screen options.
- New UI Settings page to easily manage user interface preferences.
- Imatest Master now respects operating system-preferred applications when opening files and images.
- Improved Image Preview with the ability to navigate to another image using the left and right navigation buttons without leaving image preview.

Settings Improvements
- The Settings page has been reorganized with easier access to Imatest Master analysis settings, a new "Save + Re-Analyze" button, performance improvements, and a better search experience.
- IT and Pass Fail Settings can now be edited using the new Settings Window.

Batchview
- Allow multiple parameters plots to be combined into single plots.

- Improved automatic scaling, global & local scaling, manual scaling.
- Plot from zero-max or min-max.
Minor Features
- Checkerboard: Ability to limit Distortion measurements to the image circle.
- Checkerboard: includes information on the extrapolation region for distortion measurements.
- Color/Tone: eSFR ISO Color now has automatic detection and ROI placement.
- Color/Tone: Rezchecker default reference file has been updated from glossy to matte. The previous default reference file can be downloaded for Matte and Glossy targets.
- New Luminance Settings: for ITU-R BT.601-7, ITU-R BT.709-6/IEC 61966-2-1, ITU-R BT.2020-2, or user specified in stray light.
- Sharpness Modules: Now include option to include edge spread function (ESF) and line spread function (LSF) data in JSON results.
- Sharpness Modules: Interpolated SFR data has been added to Multi-region CSV summary file results.
- Rescharts/colortone/flatfield modules: have Updated default save files from “CSV summary file” to “Multi-region CSV summary file” and “JSON Summary file”.
Known Issues
- MacOS builds are not yet notarized. This is the current workaround:
- System Preferences. Security & Privacy.
- Under the General tab, click Open Anyway for Imatest Master.
- Select Open. Proceed with the installation from here
- Linux mp4 file read/write does not work
